Jack Arute had mentioned it last week on the Milwaukee telecast, but I hadn’t seen it anywhere else.  Well, now TSO has confirmed that the mirrors each team uses this week must be used for the remainder of the season.  During qualifying yesterday, Davey Hamilton was saying they should be spec to keep development costs down.  Well, they aren’t spec, but they won’t be changing till next season.  Penske’s motivation for those giant mirrors must have some rationalization, then.  Note that after Texas, there are an equal number of oval and road/street races, but two of those ovals are the shorties of Iowa and Richmond.
