New Driver Announced Tomorrow
According to a Media Advisory handed out by the league, an existing team is scheduled to make a driver and sponsor announcement tomorrow at IMS with regards to Edmonton. In addition to that, IndyCar.com says they’ll be streaming the press conference live. The two possibilities here are Paul Tracy and Alex Tagliani, as Tracy has been rumored for some sort of Vision/Walker Racing entrant and Tagliani has been rumored to take over for Enrique Bernoldi at Conquest with a schism seemingly forming between Bernoldi and his team. As much as everyone loves Tags, I’d have to say that I wouldn’t expect streaming video for him, so I’m thinking it’s Tracy.
Update: They’re saying Tracy only for Edmonton, in a Vision car with a crew from Walker Racing.
Update2: Cavin says the same. Maybe it’s just me, but it seems like a lot of hoopla for a one race deal. That said, I kind of knew something up when asking my new best friend Tony George about Tracy and Edmonton.
Update3: Well, PT’s back in the news, and it looks like he’ll be driving at Edmonton. That can only mean one thing…

The anticipation is that PT will run into someone(bodies). If he hits no one, is that a let down? Has there ever been another guy in racing who actually disappoints fans if he finishes a race?
