A source within Barber Motorsports Park just outside of Birmingham, AL has informed me that they are still working towards a race in 2010.  In addition to that, they also are looking towards a full-field test in the Spring in 2009.  The feeling from within is that their “chances are looking good for both”.  The spring test may be the road course preseason open test slot, which was held at Sebring this season, though that is speculation on my part.  The race would certainly be welcomed by those of us in the southeast who were shafted out of our home race for those jerks in Toronto (yeah, I’m looking at you, Meesh).
