Still Alive, Sort Of
People may be wondering why I’ve been away. Well, in addition to a hectic holiday, the big news is that, due to the discontinuation of the Nashville race, I’ve decided to move out of the south to a region with a race within two hours. My new closest race (Indy will always be my "home" race) is now Richmond. I’ll be a resident of the district (or surrounding areas). Cousin Teddy is moving there as well. If anyone knows of any places to watch a race there, feel free to comment.
Thanks to my guy in the sky, Fred, it was posted in court that Roy Black is now an attorney for Helio. Roy Boy is one of the great Super Attorneys of the USA. He’s best known for getting William Kennedy Smith acquitted of rape back in the day and for representing Rush Limbaugh in his OxyContin scandal.
DID YOU KNOW? Did you know that Roy Black married a juror in the William Kennedy Smith trial?
Detroit was canceled. There are parts of me that want it replaced. Those parts are my entire mind, body, and soul. The feeling I’m getting now is that it won’t happen. At most, you may see a race’s weekend moved towards the coveted Labor Day spot.
There are talks of teams coming from the wood work. Jim Freudenberg has been long rumored to be walking around with a big check. The latest rumors, via Cavin, link him to Pacific Coast Motorsports on a deal that does not involve Mario Dominguez. Cavin also rumored, in what I have to call one of the more far fetched rumors I’ve heard via the Jedi Master himself, that Nelson Philippe is looking to buy Marty Roth’s equipment and start his own team. Maybe Yellow Ribbon is giving him backing.
The Son of ‘Stache turned 20 this past week. What’s also cool is that I got a super sweet 1995 Newman Haas crew shirt for Christmas. Thanks Cousin Teddy!
OK. I cannot promise regularity here until around testing time, but hopefully, once I’m actually up there, I can get more going on this site. My apologies.

good to see you posting again. I also just (4 mo. ago) came out to the D.C. surrounding area, though Baton Rouge never had a race to be cancelled. No idea where to watch races yet though all the local ‘Glory Days Grills’ seem to have 72 TVs in them.

I’ve never replied before, but I’m a frequent reader. If you’re in Richmond, and if you’re a fan of dirt racing, you need to check out the Virginia Motor Speedway. World of Outlaw sprints and late models, and the Super Dirt Series Big Block Modifieds all make appearances, and late models and UMP modifieds are the weekly attractice. It’s a great facility and a great racetrack.
