Fast Friday Morning
Of the interesting things I’ve seen this morning, the most is that the Hemelgarn car is here and being tinkered on. I don’t explicitly remember seeing the car yesterday, though the garage space was being filled.
Also of note was the Rahal Letterman car, which I believe isn’t actually a Rahal Letterman car but one from the IRL’s pot-o-Dallaras, was in IndyCar tech. Not the tech line, but the garage next to the tech line.
The Versus/Ganassi cut-away car was rolled out. It’s a Panoz.
Nelson and EJ walk back to the garage. They’re both really, really short, but seriously, is EJ ever not smiling?
Ryan Hunter-Reay was walking between the Vision garages, and my reaction time was slow to get my camera propped. He actually stopped and posed for the picture. What a nice guy. Unfortunately for him, it’s against a very solid backdrop, which will leave him wide open for photoshopping in the future. I bet it’s because I’m wearing his sponsor’s shirt and shorts.
Has Vitor ever turned down an autograph? I mean, I think the reason this guy has such a following is because he’s really, really good with the fans.
Finally, Eric Bachelart talks on the phone, because that’s what he does.

I was surprised to see Hemelgarn’s car in the garage area on TUESDAY, given that it is a second week program. It was there, though. I assume that the team will need more than the 4 days has last year to get the car up to snuff to make the show.

These pictures and updates are fantastic, man. Thanks for all of the leg work you’re putting in. It really gives me an idea of what’s going on at the Speedway, even though I’m 600 miles away. Keep up the good work.

I like the photos too. Let me know if the Roth circus ever shows up to the track. I would like pictures of that if that happends. Also I would like to see the Rahal letterman car as well as the Buddy Lazier car. Keep up the good work. I love the pictures
