Twit of the Year – @PippaMann
Everyone typically has at least one irrational fear. Indiana Jones has snakes. Jack Arute has shade. I have Phil Collins.
Well, on a related note, twitter may have peaked today. Usually, I’ll click in two or three times a day when my brain needs a rest from doing dirty weather business that would make your head explode, and today was no exception. Typically, it’s filled with updates from Vision PR guru Patsy and Tony Kanaan typing Portuguese. What I found today, however, was pure gold.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you Indy Lights phenom Pippa Mann’s twitter feed, with illustrations:
PippaMann: OMG!!! There is a HUGE nasty looking double body stinging bug flying about in my sitting room…! I am scared witless of stinging bugs!
PippaMann: I am our of bug spray. I daren’t even go in the same room as it. To get out of m apartment I will have to run past it…! Crap!!! Help!!!
PippaMann: It just flew at me. Admittedly not fast or “at” me, but it was towards my direction. I might have shreieked out loud like a girl…
PippaMann: I also might now be hiding in my bedroom with the door shut, hoping to dear god it doesn’t fly underneath… Gulp! Now what…?!?!
PippaMann: I think I’m having oalpatations…!
PippaMann: Now dressed in jeans, tucked into socks, longsleeve top, gloves, scarf, hat, sunnies, shoes. Ready to run gauntlet of death to front door…
PippaMann: I made it out!!! The death bug still has my apartment, but I’m now off to buy the most vicious bug spray I can find!
Pippa proceeded to escape, get to the bug spray store, and kill the bug.
Unfortunately, I’ve got bad news for Pippa. That wasp’s son is named Inigo Montoya. You killed his father…etc. etc. etc.
(Final props to Pippa, for probably quadrupling the amount of attention this site has ever given to the IPS/FIL world over its existence. Pippa, you’re a new favorite here.)

Oalpatations??? Wasn’t that one of terminal diseases on the “Oregon Trail” game? That and cholera? I’m pretty sure it was.
