I Know Who is Playing Carb Day

So far this week, I’ve heard Duran Duran on the radio ten different times.  Eight of those times, I’ve heard Rio (and Hungry like a Wolf once, Girls on Film once for those keeping score).  Being a person that thinks all things are cosmically intertwined, I realized this *MUST* be a sign that the Brazil race would be announced this week.  Well, that or my worst nightmare is coming true and Princess Di is returning from the grave as a zombie. They were her favorite band, and it isn’t like the apocalypse is going to come along with heavy metal or anything cool like that.

Then today on the way home from work, after hearing Rio for the eighth time, I heard another song just a few channel flips later.

Suddenly, everything made sense.  It’s so simple.  It came to me.

It came to me like a Rainbow in the Dark.

Angstadt hasn’t been saying that he’s 99.9% certain that Rio was going to happen.

He’s been saying that he’s 99.9% certain that Dio is going to happen.  I think we have our Carb Day concert, guys.

Let me be the first to welcome Ronnie James Dio to the Series.  While we all grew tired of Gene Simmons’ I am Indy, I fully look forward to Holy Driver.

(Man, I just finished this and saw a news article that Ronnie James Dio has been hospitalized.  Get well, RJD!)

Will “Holy Driver” be the theme song for the whole series, or just Davey Hamilton’s one-off at Indy for Kingdom Racing? (Sorry, I couldn’t help myself)

Fantastic news! Now, we’ll all get to hear EJ Viso’s official theme song, sung by The Man himself!

    “Jump on the tiger!”

I’m so paranoid about the Sisters and their henchmen that I’m just hoping we HAVE a Carb Day. Here’s hoping the Month of May doesn’t become the Two Long Weekends of May.

    This stuff seriously bothers me.

But I like the Duran Duran angle. You may be onto something.
